What a Coating Buys You

Not shine on day one — every fresh polish looks good. What a coating changes is how long it stays that way.

Water and dirt shed

A coated panel is hydrophobic. Water beads and runs instead of sitting on the paint, and road film has far less to grip.

UV resistance

Sun is what fades and dulls a finish over years of sitting in a driveway or a parking lot. The coating takes that exposure instead of the clear coat.

Easier washes

Less bonds to the surface, so washing takes less scrubbing — which is also what keeps you from putting new swirls in the paint.

The finish holds

Correction is what makes paint look right. The coating is what keeps it looking that way for longer than the next few washes.

How It Goes

The order is the whole job

A coating applied over paint that was never corrected locks the defects in under a layer built to last.

01

Wash and decontaminate

Hand wash, then the paint is decontaminated. Anything still bonded to the surface at this point gets ground into it by the next step.

02

Correct the paint

Machine polishing to take out swirls, wash marks, and dullness. How many stages depends on the condition of the paint, so tell us what you are working with and we will come back to you.

03

Prep and coat

Panels are wiped down to strip polishing oils, then the coating is applied by hand, panel by panel, and levelled.

04

Cure

The coating needs time to harden before the car goes back out into weather. We tell you how long yours needs and what to avoid in the meantime.

Not sure which you need?

Tell us the vehicle and what is bothering you about it. Most people who ask for a coating need correction first, and some only need a proper detail.
